Week of December 16th

We are so excited that there is only one week left before Winter Break! We may be excited but we are still working hard – we are learning about the letter Oo, the sight words four, will and are, the –ip family, recognizing money, wants and needs and Christmas. Please continue to practice these skills at home.

On Thursday, we will celebrate by having a Gingerbread House Party. The G-Man has been leaving presents in the cubbies and moving around the room to make sure we are making good choices.

We will NOT have a gift exchange, but if you would like to send in anything for the students, we have 24 children in the class.

Have a wonderful weekend and if ever you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at hsacra@ccps.us

Week of December 9th

What a busy month we have had already! This past week we have learned about the letters K and Q along with the new popcorn words two, in and blue. This week we will learn about the letters D and Z, the popcorn words three, here and be, the word families -it and -in, recognizing money and water properties. Sprinkled in the mix will be more about the Gingerbread Man (or G-Man as he is known in the room) and Christmas.

On Tuesday, the children will visit the Santa shop in order to do their shopping for friends and family members. Please have the envelopes labeled with money or check (made out to L & C Elem) enclosed.

On Thursday, December 19th, we will have our Gingerbread House Party! More information will be coming soon.

Please continue to read with your child every night and practice those sight words. Don’t forget to pack a snack for your child every day.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to write a note or send an email, hsacra@ccps.us

Have a wonderful week!
