Week of September 2nd

We are rolling right along in Kindergarten. This week we will kick off our alphabet study with the letters M and S. In math, we will study the square, rectangle, triangle and circle. In Unit, we will begin learning about the 5 Senses starting with hearing, touch and sight.

Please continue to read with your child every night and look in their notebooks for important information and to see their work for that day.

Have a wonderful Labor Day and remember if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at hsacra@ccps.us

Week of August 20th

Wow! What a great 1st week of Kindergarten! We read Miss Bindergarten gets ready for Kindergarten, Froggy goes to school, Clark the shark, How do dinosaurs go to school and The night before Kindergarten. We learned how many boys and girls are in the class, how everyone comes to school and our favorite color.

Next week, we will continue to learn the classroom rules, manners and citizenship by practicing the Pledge of Allegiance and The Star Spangled Banner. We will discuss positions – right, left, over, under, etc.

Please read with your child nightly and encourage them to write their names.

Have a great weekend.
